Privacy Policy
Look Store, shop.looksignage.com, operated by Look DS LLC
This Privacy Policy explains how Look DS LLC ("Look DS", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data in connection with the Look Store at shop.looksignage.com (the "Store").
This policy covers the Store only. Our software service at lookdigitalsignage.com and app.lookdigitalsignage.com is operated under a separate privacy policy. Buying from the Store does not create an account on that service, and nothing you do on the Store is linked to a software subscription.
We are the controller of the personal data described here, meaning we decide why and how it is used.

You must provide identity, contact, billing and delivery data to place an order. Without it we cannot accept, ship or clear an order through customs.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. The Store is intended for business customers.
2How we collect personal data
- Directly from you, when you place an order, create a Store account, contact us, or make a warranty claim.
- Automatically, from your use of the Store, through the technologies described in section 6.
- From third parties, including our payment providers (authorisation and fraud screening results), carriers (delivery status and exceptions), and our fulfilment partner.
3Why we use personal data and on what legal basis

| Securing the Store and preventing abuse | Our legitimate interest in protecting our systems and customers (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Improving the Store and our product range, using aggregated order and usage data | Our legitimate interest in improving our business (Art. 6(1)(f)) |

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that our interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. You may ask us for details of that assessment.
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
4Marketing
4.1 If you have bought from the Store, we may email you about similar products and offers. You were given the opportunity to object when you placed your order, and every message carries an unsubscribe link.
4.2 Where required by law, including for people in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom who have not bought from us, we ask for consent before sending marketing email.
4.3 You may object or withdraw consent at any time, free of charge, by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing sales@lookdigitalsignage.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
4.4 We will still send you messages about an order you have placed, including dispatch, tracking and warranty correspondence. These are not marketing and cannot be unsubscribed from while an order is open.
4.5 We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
6Cookies and similar technologies
6.1 We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, secure your session, remember your preferences and understand how the Store is used.
6.2 Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the Store, including the cart and checkout, are set without consent because the Store cannot function without them.
6.3 We ask for your consent before setting any analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookie. You can review the cookies we use, grouped by category and with their purpose and duration, in the cookie settings panel available on every page, and you can change or withdraw your choice there at any time.
7International transfers
7.1 We are established in the United States. Our fulfilment operation is in the People's Republic of China. Carriers and customs authorities are located wherever your shipment travels. Fulfilling an international order therefore necessarily involves transferring your delivery details across borders, including to countries that do not have data protection laws equivalent to those of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
7.2 Where personal data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on one of the following:
- an adequacy decision of the European Commission, or UK adequacy regulations, in respect of the destination country;
- the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with a transfer impact assessment;
- the derogation for transfers necessary for the performance of a contract with you, or for the performance of a contract concluded in your interest, which is the basis on which delivery details are passed to a carrier or a customs authority in a destination country.
7.3 Transfers to our fulfilment partner in China are made under Standard Contractual Clauses, supported by a transfer impact assessment.
7.4 You may request a copy of the safeguards we rely on by contacting us using the details in section 11.
8How long we keep personal data
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Store account data, while the account is active | For the duration of the account |
| Store account data, after the account is closed | 24 months, then deleted or anonymised |
| Order records, invoices, receipts and payment records | 7 years from the end of the financial year of the order |
| Export and customs documentation | 7 years from the date of export, or longer where the law of the destination country requires |
| Warranty and returns records | 3 years from the end of the warranty period |
| Support correspondence | 36 months from the last contact |
| Marketing preferences and consent records | Until you withdraw consent, plus 24 months to evidence the withdrawal |
| Cookie consent records | 12 months |
| Server and security logs | 12 months |
Where a longer period is required by law, or where data is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, we retain it for that longer period. At the end of the applicable period we delete or irreversibly anonymise the data.
9Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you have the right to:
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access | Obtain confirmation that we process your data, and a copy of it |
| Rectification | Have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed |
| Erasure | Have your data deleted, in certain circumstances |
| Restriction | Have our use of your data restricted, in certain circumstances |
| Portability | Receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, in certain circumstances |
| Object | Object at any time to direct marketing, and object in certain other circumstances to processing based on our legitimate interests |
| Withdraw consent | Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it |
To exercise a right, email sales@lookdigitalsignage.com or write to the address in section 11. Tell us which right you wish to exercise and give us enough information to identify you and your order. We may ask for further information to verify your identity.
We respond without undue delay and in any event within one month. Where a request is complex, or where we have received a number of requests, we may extend that period by up to two further months and will tell you within the first month if we do.
Exercising your rights is free of charge. Where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act, and will explain why.
Please note that we cannot delete order, invoice, export or customs records that we are required by law to retain for the periods in section 8. Where you ask for erasure, we will delete what we can and restrict the rest so that it is used only to meet those legal obligations.
10Security
10.1 We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental loss and unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure, including encryption in transit, access controls on a need-to-know basis, and logging.
10.2 We have procedures for handling suspected personal data breaches and will notify you and any applicable regulator where legally required.
10.3 No system is completely secure. Keep your Store account credentials confidential and tell us without delay if you suspect unauthorised access.
